Opening Remarks: Every Thing Is Coming Up Memories

Spring has sprung. Funny thing is we had a very mild and dry winter in New Mexico. Then on Monday when spring officially arrived we had snow – ha! Mother Nature has her sense of humor.

This week has been a mixture of winter snow and cold days sandwiched between sunshine and 60 degree days. The saying here is if you don’t like the weather wait five minutes.

For some reason springtime stirs up more memories for me than most any other time of the year. I’m not sure why, because holidays would be a more logical time. Maybe it is because things are growing and it signals newness and that gets me reflecting.

In this issue I’ve got some exciting news about a way to preserve your story. Be sure to check out the information about the iMemoryBook!

One of the most often asked questions I get from people wanting to write or preserve their life story is how can I get started and how much will it cost?

The answer to the first part of the question is easy. You can get started today, right now, by simply writing down some basic information about yourself. Where and when were you born? What was your childhood like? Who are the important people in your life? What is most important to you on your life journey?

The second part of the question can get a little dicey. Most people think it is a grand idea to have a personal history life story – and it is! But, when talk turns to money many people find that a professionally researched and written story is outside their budget. Yes, it can be costly, but when you consider the amount of time, energy and work that goes into a well written biography or memoir it becomes apparent that it is money well spent. This is especially true when you have the finished product.

Now I have really good news for those of you who want to create a book about your life, or a family member, and have limited funds. The fabulous iMemoryBook is the answer!

Your Life is Your Story has partnered with Family Learn and you can create an beautiful book of memories for a fraction of the typical cost. The whole Heirloom package system is flexible and you can upgrade at very modest prices. Everything you need, from beginning to end, to turn your stories and photos into a hardbound personal history.
