Opening Remarks: Time For Thanksgiving

It is almost time for the Thanksgiving Holiday. This national holiday in the United States is a time when so many gather together, eat a big meal, share stories and hopefully express gratitude for life and our many blessings.

This can also be a stressful time. For those traveling there is always a checklist. Have you packed? Got all the travel details worked out? Ready to make it to your destination?

It can be a lot. But remember that life is about being present to the moment. At this point in my life my wife and I are lucky we don’t have to travel any further than the nearby gathering of family. No airplanes, trains or car trips. Years ago we did that and I know what it can be like. May you have safe travels if you are going some distance. However you celebrate, I hope it brings peace and joy.

Featured Resource: Ancestry.com Special Sale

As someone interested in life stories I know there are many resources people can use to trace genealogy and preserve our family histories.

One of the most popular resources is Ancestry.com. Although I’ve used them in the past I haven’t been a subscriber in years. But I couldn’t resist their current “Black Friday Sale” as I have been wanting to do the DNA kit as well as digging more into the genealogy of my clan. So I went for it and was able to save a significant amount off their regular pricing.

Now until December 2 you can find deep discounts on their various services at Ancestry.com and you might find it worthwhile for your life story work.

Closing Information

That’s it for this month’s issue. Thanks for reading. Here’s to telling your story. Do give it some serious consideration because I just know you’ve got a great story to tell! Be sure to see the Get Started section.

Any comments, ideas or feedback is greatly appreciated. Just reply to this ‘zine and tell me what you think!

Until next time, – keep your story alive!
