Nothing comes without a price
I am 15 years old, and i have already had a few life changing events in my life. Two of my grandparents passed away before i turned 10. It gave me respect for both life and death, it made me curious i started thinking. What will do with my life that will make people remember me?
The event i want to share with you is my personal greatest victory. I BIKED FROM DENMARK TO PARIS, FRANCE IN THE AGE OF 15. This was my way of getting remembered. I started to train in september 2011, 10 months before the trip i started training with my father. 10-15 hours each week was spend on my bike, i got in shape, developed a stamina superior to my friends and at last the trip to Paris began, the 13th of Juli 2012 the journey began, but i was not going alone, my father and his Team Rotary Favrskov 2012 was with me, supporting each other we mannaged to cover 200 kilometer each day for 7 days in a row. Our goal was to raise half a million to clean water in Africa. But the trip came with a prize, for me it was the cost of my pride, i grew arrogant after the trip, i felt superior to my friends and family. But i hid it for myself, i didn't wanted to let others feel how i was deep down.
The trip for Charity became the end of the old me, a new and more arrogant me was made in the weeks after the trip. and i hate it, im using this trip as arguments for me not being selfish and a no-lifer (on the internet) My next goal will be to gain the respect of others once again. and im doing fine until now, but it will take some months before i feel like i did before the trip.
Nothing comes without consequenses the price for a better life for a small village in Africa was my old self. No matter how i end up being, i feel that it was worth the sacrifice.
